Learning M camera service and repair

Main Post:

Hey! I would like to learn how to service M bodies. Has anyone a recommendation where to start literature or guide wise? I would like to learn how to do it by myself, because i have gotten two beater bodies (one M3 and one M2) for free on which i can train. I have assambled some tools and spanners and made some of them a bit costum so they fit perfect. I would look for a shutter speed tester aswell. I have repaired a few yashicas and canon AE-1s in the past, but mainly electronic issues. Thanks for your help! I will take you along the journey if you want.

Not sure if it’s the correct sub to share this but i know you guys like gears. I bought this pianet in really bad condition for 300, received it totally wrecked, the amp was torn off the keyboard due to uncautiously stupid delivery. Brought it to an amazing man, he changed some burnt keys, repaired a few capacitors, reassembled broken parts. Now it’s home. I love it so much, the warmth, the tines, the stereo modulation. Still learning how to play it, it lacks a sustain pedal but it makes it more challenging and that’s cool :)

M-Audio AV30 Repair

Main Post:

My speakers will turn on but stopped producing any sound at all. I read online that the speaker has a common problem with 2 capacitors leaking and needing to be replaced. It seemed that most people could either see leaking or bulging or both. I however didn't see either. I proceeded anyway. I replaced the two 22UF caps that you see circled on the right. I did a really bad job and ripped the top layer of the pcb so they were a little loose. I put the speaker back together and it worked for 15 minutes then stopped again. I took it apart, resoldered the caps and created bridges using the capacitors' legs that I cut after installing to replace what I assume are damaged traces.

The speakers worked for about 2 and a half hours and then went back to no sound but do turn on. My repair job still seems to be intact. You'll notice I circled 2 220uf caps in the picture as well. Those I haven't replaced yet. Any guesses on whether the 220uf caps may fix it or if this could be a case of a botched repair job? At this point do I need to re-replace the 22uf caps at the same time? The thing that is odd to me is that it worked for a couple hours before quitting again.

EDIT: One more thing. I think I soldered on of the 22uf capacitors wrong by putting the negative where the positive should go. Not sure if that would cause this kind of problem either. As I keep typing I feel more and more like an idiot.
